High School Biology Assessment Item Writer

Focus EduVation seeks candidates to fill an immediate need for upper-level high school Biology assessment item writers for a large-scale assessment project that will be ongoing into the Spring of 2019. A short training period for on-boarding writers and content leads will be required.

These assessments empower students to develop in-demand, transportable knowledge and skills. Items will not be limited to traditional question types.  Candidates should be prepared to think outside the box to create innovative questions using multiple item templates.

Experience writing to standards highly preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

The ideal candidate should have teaching experience and a solid familiarity with writing and review biology assessment items according to multi-dimensional standards.

  • Adaptability using/learning online tools for assessment writing and collaboration
  • Strong content knowledge

Graduate-level education preferred but experience with item writing in the subject area to multidimensional standards is the most sought-after requisite.
